This week Pre-K learned all about the letters “K” and “M.” We completed an “M” maze with our dotters and worked on our letters sounds with our AlphaBetty book. We also traced the letters and completed our journal.
Our number was thirteen. We did thirteen different yoga poses, and wrote thirteen with chalk.
We created tie dye hearts to decorate our room with and cards for our Fifth Grade buddies for Valentine’s Day! We also made it rain hearts and painted our V-day umbrellas after we read “The Day It Rained Hearts.” We also used colorful dotters to create heart balloons.
We conducted an experiment to see what melts ice the quickest. We used ice cubes in cups, and used water, salt, and baking soda to see what worked. We all shared our guesses and salt melted the ice the quickest. We worked on our fine motor skills as we stacked cups to create a snowman.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day all together on Friday. We looked wonderful in our PJs and enjoyed our heart shaped pancakes and pink goldfish. We prepared a special heart cookie for our parents, and used heart cookie cutters in kinetic sand. We also had heart shaped stencils on our easel. We also had our Morning share about how we can show God’s love in our classroom. Pre-K loved all the special treats and sharing their Valentine Day cards with one another. Thank you for making the day so special!
Happy Birthday to Lorenzo! Thank you for celebrating it with us!
