Pre-K4B began the week celebrating the Immaculate Conception. We created angel puppets with glittery halos. We also read it in our Nativity Story, which also is a pop up book. We also explored our manager and began to identify the people in our classroom manger. We used forks to create hay for Baby Jesus as well. We also lit our second Advent candle.
We had a blast on PJ Day. We shared our favorite stuffed animals, and decorated gingerbread cookies. We decorated gingerbread cards for our 5th Grade buddies too. We also created our own Rudolph using plates.
We learned about the letter “S” this week. We all moved like snakes, and practiced forming it with pipe cleaners. We also shared words that start with that sound, and learned a new phonics' song.
We also learned about the number eight. We made an “S” and climbed back up as we traced it in sand, and formed it using our dotters.
We loved our Snowflake Day! We made snowflakes by tearing blue and purple paper, and painting shimmering snowflake ornaments. We also read about how snowflakes are formed. We also had a snowflake dance party with snowflakes projected onto our classroom ceiling.
Thank you to our Class Moms, Mrs. Farley and Mrs. Pitoscia for visiting us on Friday. They helped us to create a gingerbread house frame and shared some delicious treats. Thank you!
Happy Birthday Benny!! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!
Smart Cookie loved her visit with Sofia and her family. Smart Cookie took a flight with Sofia’s Mom, and loved helping the family with our gingerbread in disguise.
