Thank you to Juliette for taking home Polly this past weekend. Did you know she took Polly to church with her whole family and took a picture with Father Christy and Sister Mary Elizabeth! Thenuka is our Student of the Week. Please take a moment to look at his information. We are almost through the whole class taking home The Thanksgiving book written by the class.
A homework assignment went home about decorating a mug for our Winter bulletin board. It is due on Wednesday, December 14.
Tis the season of giving. A note went home about The Giving Tree in the big school. Helping Hands are collecting new gloves, hats or socks for the poor. Please, please consider giving to this worthy cause. We would like everyone to bring something in so we could walk over to the big school as a class and put the things we donate on the tree.
We continue to learn about the second week of Advent and how we wait for Jesus to come! On Tuesday was the feast of St. Nicholas. He left the children a little treat in their shoe that was outside our classroom. Also, he left us a gingerbread house to make! Perhaps he came to your house and left a treat in a shoe?! On Monday we took a walk to the outside nativity that is outside the church. The children loved seeing it. They also loved all the live Christmas trees along the way. Thursday we learned about the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We learned this is the day Mary said YES to God about being the mom to Jesus.
We learned about traditions for the Holiday season and watched a short video about them.
We learned the letter Jj and the number 7 as well. Next week's show n' tell is the letter K.
We have an Elf on the Shelf here in Pre-k. His name is Tippy. We all voted on the name!
Most of us shopped at Santa's workshop this week. Hope you all enjoy the presents!!
God Bless,
Mrs. McNulty
