The rubrics below are for all students, whether you are attending class in the classroom or attending class at home.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will be assessed for skills and participation at mid-quarter and end-of-quarter. Please refer to the 2020-21 Kindergarten Skills Rubric below.
Grades 1 through 8
Each quarter’s grade for all students in grades 1 through 8 is comprised of:
In some cases, students in grades six through eight may have one skills assessment in a quarter.
All assessments are weighted equally.
All assessments are designed to be completed within the allotted class time. Most assignments are multi-week, up to 6 – 8 classes for older students. Students in grades 5 through 8 may need to complete work at home in the event of an absence or other missed class time.
Gum chewing in the Lab will not be tolerated.
Chewing gum will result in detention.
This is the warning.
Grades 5, 6, 7, 8
Any work missing on the due date will result in a ‘60’. The grade will be adjusted once the assignment is submitted, though full credit will not be earned.
In the event of an absence, students are expected to continue any Google Classroom assignments that are in progress at the time of the absence.
