April Birthdays are Noelle and Devin. Happy Birthday!
Thank you to Rocco for taking home Everlee on this long weekend. Did you know he took Everlee on a trip to Connecticut and had the world's best pizza! Yummy!!!
Mrs. McNulty and Mrs. Meier played some pranks for April Fools Day in Pre-k. The toilet water turned blue and there were snowflakes around our spring season poster. During Circle Time the calendar, number chart and alphabet chart were all mixed up! The children laughed and laughed! We learned about the letter Yy, the sound it makes, practiced writing it several ways, found objects that begin with Yy, read a Yy story, Yy videos/songs, completed papers about the Yy and had a Yy show n' tell. We were also introduced to the letter Zz. We learned about a Zheng (musical instrument) for the letter Zz and pretended to play it too! We learned about the number 20. We counted to 20, wrote and traced the number and counted 20 objects. We learned about Earth Day and why we need clean water. We watched a video from Let's Find Out and read the issue. We did a dance break and read a story too. We also wrote and completed our last class book about Earth Day which started to circulate already! The children did an awesome job on how to clean up the Earth!!! We learned what Easter is, completed a booklet on Easter and learned about the Easter flower: the Lily. Please remember to bring your Lent Star chart back. You will be given a blessed Mary medal for bringing it back. The children have been doing such wonderful deeds during this Lenten season. We also learned about palms and looked at all the palms Mrs. McNulty brought in to share. We felt them and talked about them and will receive new palms after Palm Sunday. Thank you to Rocco's dad for coming in this week to be a Mystery Reader. If you would still like to come in, please email me a time/day and I can fit you in as close to the day/time you requested. I am sending home the Bluey boxes that Rocco's family bought us at the beginning of the year. This way your child can enjoy it over the break and the rest of the summer. Thank you again Rocco for sending them in. Thank you to all who sent in baby donations for Life Choices. The last week we will collect will be : Enfamil Yellow or Enfamil Gentlease baby formula. Lastly, thank you to all who brought in Easter items for all the projects we will be doing. I appreciate all you do. Just a reminder our class trip is Monday, April 7 the start of the Week of the Young Child. If it looks like rain please send your child in a raincoat as we will not be able to use umbrellas. We are all so excited to go!!! God Bless, Mrs. McNulty
