Pre-K started off the week with coloring Easter eggs and decorating them. We created a Spring Wreath, and Easter cards for our fifth grade buddies too! We also colored in spring butterflies to hang around our room.
We learned more about weather and named the colors of the rainbow. We even did a song about it. We also kept a weather journal for all the days of the week. We discovered fun things we can do on a windy day, and realized all the benefits of the wind.

We discovered about bunnies too! We learned where they nest and pink when they are born. We subtracted the carrots the bunnies ate, and listened to phonics sounds to identify the letter. We even got to visit the Kindergarten chicks and watch them hatch.

Our letter of the week was “Q”. We painted with Q tips, and practiced writing the letter with our Kinects. We also read about different Queens, and found the letter on our letter search sheet.
We counted by 5s this week as well, and worked on discovering new shapes. We traced them on our Smartboard and created them out of playdough. We also worked on skip counting!

For Clifford Day, we read all about Clifford. We created Clifford ear crowns, and colored Clifford too. We also had a blast watching a Clifford episode all about space!

Thank you to our wonderful Mystery Readers, who visited us this week! Mrs. Sajan read to us about Pete the Cat, and Mrs. Sharath who read to us all about a carousels, and Mrs. D’Ippolito who read one of our favorite books, “The Rainbow Fish.” Mrs. Murray read us a new book about a pig and an elephant, and Mr. Diaz read to us all about the Easter bunny! Thank you so much, we appreciate you spending time with us!

Andrew brought home Francis last weekend, and went to Six Flags with her for such a fun visit. Thank you for taking good care of her.

We would like to wish Elena a very Happy Birthday over the weekend!

Next week, on April 12th and April 13^th we have an 11:50 dismissal time, and then from April 14^th through April 22^nd the school will be closed.
