Thank you to Logan for taking Everlee home this weekend. He took her to many places. One was to church and the other one was Antonio's pizza. It looked like so much fun! This week we had so much fun. Some pictures are from last week's sticker exchange. We reviewed the letter Uu and started the letter Qq. On Monday we had our Easter egg hunt of the playground. We also reenacted Palm Sunday by having Rosemary pretend to ride a donkey and the children called out "Hosanna" as she passed by and waved palm branches. We talked about the blessed palm branches. We watched a short video on the real Palm Sunday. We also made Twinkie bunnies that are driving a car! Our 5th grade buddies visited us and gave us a bunny rabbit goodie bag. We decorated a cap that Logan's mom brought in after being our Mystery reader and reading Caps for Sale. On Tuesday we had an egg roll like they do on the White house lawn. We also decorated a foam Easter egg along with painting a wooden carrot. We learned about how carrots grow and read a story about carrots. Drea's mom came in to be the Mystery Reader and Rosemary's mom came in last Friday. On Wednesday we started our day with 8:00 am Mass. We then had our own Holy Thursday. We watch a short video on the Last Supper and Mrs. McNulty read a book on the Last Supper. We also learned about Holy Thursday and how Jesus washed the feet of his friends and Mrs. McNulty pretended to wash the feet of the students. We then all sat down at two long tables and had crackers and red grape juice similar to the real Last Supper. I am so proud of the children for returning their Lenten Star charts. I am sure they worked hard on them at home. Thanks for recording them and returning them to school. We also walked into school this morning and saw bunny footprints on the rug. The bunny left us Easter pencils as a gift! Our Easter break begins today and school reopens April 28. Please remember to practice your Muffin with Mommy parts at home while on break. Mrs. Meier and I wish you a blessed Easter! Mrs. McNulty
