 What a Fun Week!

Thank you to Ryan for taking Everlee home this weekend. Did you know he went to the Mall with Everlee and a birthday party! What fun!
It was the Week of the Young Child.
Monday we went on our class trip and had so much fun learning how to make pizza and make our own pizza!  It was delicious!! We then went to What's the Scoop and had an ice cream demonstration and had ice cream!!  We even got to go behind the counter and she all the ice cream in the freezers! That was awesome! We made pretend pizzas and ice cream with our pizza and ice cream centers this week as well. Thank you to Rosemary's mom, Ryan's mom and Rocco's mom for chaperoning the trip and going back to pick up all the pizzas, water and packaging them for us to take home and share with our families!
Tuesday was Taco Tuesday. We made fake tacos out of Play-Doh and then had real taco scoops with cheese and salsa! They were so tasty! Our Mystery reader Nihal's mom came in today to read.
Wednesday was Work together Wednesday where we all worked together with various materials colored straws, blocks, cubes etc. to make various structures. We were so creative! 
Father Christy came in today and had a great talk with us about Lent/Easter. Thank you Father Christy.
Thursday was Artsy Thursday where we started off drawing pictures with markers and we also dotted zoo pictures for the letter Zz. Christina from Life Choices came in to pick up all the baby items. Thank you so much to all who participated.
Friday was Fun Friday. We started off the day with an Easter sticker exchange and we had our Mystery reader Rosemary's mom come in to read. Instead of napping we got to rest and relax on our napsters and watch a movie!
In Religion, we finished writing our own Lenten Journals. Children brought back their star charts with all the good deeds they did during Lent and received a prayer card and blessed Mary medals.
We learned about the letter Zz. We read stories, wrote the letter, looked for Zz things, had a Zz Show n' Tell and danced like zoo animals after reading Put Me in the Zoo. We began to learn about the letter Uu.
We worked on measurement this week by measuring things around the room with various things (rulers, straws and unifix cubes) We completed several papers about measurement.
Next week we have a busy 3 days with various Easter activities. Monday is a full day of school. Tuesday and Wednesday are 11:50 am dismissals.
