Pre-K4B this week enjoyed creating different Easter projects. We use sponges to create different colored paint and sponge to dot a peep and cut out an Easter cross. We also used a plate to paint stripes on it and put a cross in the middle of it. We explored using shaving cream and paint to dip a bunny shape in as well
.
We continued learning about vowels. We worked on tracing them in sand and identifying them in different CVC words. We also worked on knowing their sounds with a game on our SmartBoard. We also worked on writing and spelling our last names. We began to use our sequence cards to put different stories in order. We introduced rhyming words with different poems.
We began to learn our numbers in Spanish from 11-20 during Morning Meeting. WE worked on our final number twenty. We made it out of playdough and played Simon Says using the number twenty. We introduced addition using our legos!
We completed a puzzle about the life of Jesus and used our puppets to act out the Easter story. We read “Jesus’ Garden” and drew our own flowers.
Pre-K explored how flowers and plants grow. Also, what they need to grow. We drew what they need to grow and the life cycle of a plant. We used our fine motor skills to cut out the cycle and put it together. We also visited Pre-K3’s garden to see what they are growing.
